Motivated by an entire roof replacement and and impossible longstanding debt, Father John decided to take fundraising to a whole new level--literally. The first Raise the Roof campaign during November 2023 consisted of Father John Rutten living on the Newman Center Roof, sharing much of his efforts over social media, to spread word of the Newman's needs and raise donor support.

After the previous year's overwhelming success, Father Rutten went onto the roof a second time in September 22-26, 2024, to raise support for the Newman's electrical needs.

Raise the Roof 3.0 happened all in one day on December 2, 2025! This campaign helped us to finish funding our electrical needs and our booming student ministry needs.
