What are we fundraising for?

This year's campaign will help us power up our mission at the Newman Center. First, we are in need of a new transformer to help provide three-phase power to the Newman Center. Second, we want to continuet to provide for student needs through the ministry. 

On Tuesday, December 2nd, Father John and students will get back on the roof to fundraise for these costs. They will be playing games, answer questions about the faith and participating in lots of fun activities.

Student Ministry Events

OCIA

Last year, 17 students joined the church through our OCIA classes. This year, we currently have over 35 students in OCIA. It is incredible to see not only this many students on fire for the faith, but to see students sponsoring or supporting their friends. The impact of these OCIA classes has resonated throughout the building!

Welcome Week

The first two weeks of school are a busy time at the Newman! We host many outreach events, including capture-the-flag, mini golf, a cornhole tournament, inflatables, volleyball games and spikeball games, as well as over 10 meals during the first two weeks. 

Retreats

The Newman Center provides multiple opportunties for students to go on retreat, including both a retreat in the fall and in the spring. 

The Newman Center pays for over half of the costs for these retreats so they remain affordable for students.

Meals & Events

From Dollar Dinner every week, to special events like the Newman Formal, the Newman Center delivers almost 30 meals to students every year. The Newman Center also host many student events, including praise & worship, men's and women's nights, theme nights and baking contests that allow the students to grow in faith and fellowship.
